Can You Pay With Two Credit Cards On Ticketmaster?
Tickets go on sale for an event this Saturday and I want to purchase the tickets online..I just realized that my credit card doesn't have enough for 3 tickets. Even if I pay my bill, the additional funds will not be available for Saturday (I want to buy the tickets right when they go on sale). So does anyone know if am I able to pay for 2 tickets on one credit card and 1 ticket on another credit card?
If it's general admission, then yes. If it's assigned seating, then you have no guarantee that you'll be able to get seats together.
Your best bets are to either phone up Ticketmaster and have an agent help you through it--although from my experiences, you might be on hold for an hour--or to go to a Ticketmaster outlet and pay in cash or on your debit card. You might even be able to split the purchase onto two credit cards in store.
How do I switch credit cards and not affect my credit score?
I want to get a frequent flyer credit card but I already have 3 credit cards with generous limits. I don't need these credit cards and I would like to cancel them and have this "possible credit" to go towards the new card. I heard once that canceling a credit card has a negitive effect on your credit score. Is this true? If so, how do I switch credit cards and avoid affecting my credit score in a bad way?
Yes, it is true. Having active credit cards on your record is no problem. It shows that card issuers are willing to extend credit. If these cards have no balance on them, you should have no trouble getting a new card. Apply and start using it.
If there are balances on your other cards, it is a different issue. You should pay them off, or transfer them to the card with the lowest interest rate and pay that off as quickly as possible. Then make sure you never have a balance on a card that exceeds about 30 percent of the credit limit.
Paying the monthly charges in full each month is the best policy. It also means not paying any interest.
Secured Credit Cards?
If I take out 2 or more secured credit cards with a $300 limit on each and charge a Max of $50 a month on each and pay it off in full each month, Will that increase my credit score positively? Will it be bad for my credit? Will the more secured credit cards I Open Impact my credit negatively or have a positive effect? Does anyone know how fast It will raise my credit? Say if I open 2 secured credit cards this month with $300 limits each, charge $20 each on them then Pay them off in full about 1 week later, How much do you think my credit score will jump when they report it, next month?
Every month all the big companies report to the Credit Bureau for the bills you pay. and every month your score changes little by little. (not sure about the rate it changes!) If you open more than 2 cards in a period of 6 months it affects your credit score in a negative way. Cancelling a credit card will NOT affect your credit. just have one or two credit cards open and pay your bills monthly and that will rockyour score credit. You can later apply for some merchant credit cards (like Best Buy, IKEA, SEARS, Home Depot, etc) and pay your bills on them when you purchase something and they report to Credit Bureau too and that will boost your credit.
The amount of money you spend on your credit card and pay it off does not directly affect your score so don't worry about numbers much. Even if you pay the minimum amound due on your credit card on time and just pay the interest on the remainder of the balance every month, that alone will increase your credit too.
Is it possible to pay my mortgage off £60000 off with credit cards ?
Would it be possible to pay off my mortgage with credit cards then NOT pay the credit cards off. Also could I sell the house quickly to stop credit card companies putting a stop on it? Then transfer money to a family's account???
As an aside
"and credit card cheques can't be used to pay mortgages."
at least in the USA you can use those checks to pay anything, including your mortgage payment.
And the real answer is YES one could do that but what would the consequences be? Collection agent harrassment to jail time.
So step right up and spin the wheel and see which one you get.
can i close credit card accounts on line?
I am trying to pay off and close some credit cards we have. I have a few (dept. stores, jcpenneys, old navy, belks) that are paid off but I would like to cancel without having to go to the store?
See if there is a phone number on the back of the card to call.
Also, I just want to let you know that it is bad for your credit if you close out your credit cards. It may be better off to pay them off and them cut them up and leave them open. If you close them it will show as less available credit to you. If it looks like you have a lot of available credit, then banks will see that as a good thing. Also, the longer you have history with a credit card company the better it looks on your credit report. So IF you are going to close any credit cards, I recommend closing the newest one first.
